Tom Dj'in Doing What He Was Brill At

It is with deepest and sadist regret that these pages have to be publish.

Tom died on Thursday afternoon (25th March ‘04) from a heart attack after a short illness.

We all knew Tom for being a highly respected music producer, and for that infamous tune "TechnoCat".

Tom was well respected in the Scottish dance and radio scene and influenced so many peoples life's, including my own.

My thoughts, and those of the others, go to the family of Toms.

Tom & Mc Madman ... Toms Great Mc ... RIP Tom

Thursday afternoon on the 25th of March 2004, legendary Scottish DJ "Tom Wilson" sadly died from a heart attack following a short period of illness at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh. He was 51.

Dedicated to his music, Tom helped pioneer the underground dance scene in Scotland, taking it out of the 80’s and storming in to the 90’s.

He helped create a legendary era in Scottish dance history that will be forever remembered. Throughout his career Tom remained loyal to his music, fans, and to Scotland, until the very end.

He has promoted, supported and inspired so many,  both locally and internationally, its because of this, that his music and memory will continue to live on.  His sets  form the soundtrack to many lives, from the flyer, to the stage Tom would always pull in the crowds and make them dance.

He has  left behind many devastated friends, family and fans that will love and miss him forever....

Good Friends Of Toms Condolences

"Knowing Tom, both as a broadcaster and friend, for over 25 years, I cannot truly express my sense of loss in a few short sentences. Tom was immensely popular and the news has shocked us all at Radio Forth. Tom was a consummate professional, quiet, unassuming, with a wicked sense of humour and often the twinkle in his eye, said more than words, just as his music did. Tom, we will miss you."( Sandy Wilkie, Radio Forth's Managing Director)

“Warm,Kind, happy, geuine, soothing voiced, positive,Gentlemanly,Honest minded,Giving, You were my friend from day one mate and you will always be in my heart and thoughts ,so take a bow \"up there\" mate because you changed so many peoples lifes and you were so modest that you probably didnt even note. R.I.P. I will see you someday and get that promo to you :-) Jon” (Jon Campbell - The Time Frequency)

“ You will be sadly missed Tom.A devastating blow to the Scottish dance scene. One of the most genuine friendliest blokes in the industry. Thanks for all the support over the years.Youll be sadly missed by us all.I\'ll play technocat at the weekend for you big man.RIP...Mark” (Mark Sherry and the Public Domain lads)
